Up to ten teams including family and teams are invited to participate
in our 10th annual Wooden Boat Festival, building the Six Hour Canoe at our
Wooden Boat Festival,
June 7-8.
There are two options for families or community groups to participate this year.
First, a team can enroll to build their own boat to complete and take
home that weekend. The cost for the entire weekend, including beautiful
canoe paddles to be built by all youth members as well as all meals and
refreshments for both days is $500.00.
Second, we are building boats with volunteers under a foundation grant,
therefore families or community teams can enroll to build boats as a
team for our recreation programs, but the cost is only $75.00 for the
entire weekend including all refreshments, certificates, etc.
You will start at 8 a.m. Saturday Morning, June 7, and by 2:30 pm Sunday
you will be in the water paddling your new canoe. Visit our
