This list is not yet complete. But it will be if we use it, and update it
from experience. The goal is ZERO emergency shopping trips for the forgotten
Bondo, or the too-few-3/4-inch-screws.
PER BOAT---
1 16x4x1/4 marine or exterior plywood (pre-scarfed)
2 3/4x1-1/2x16ft clear pine (gunwales)
2 3/4x1-1/2x14ft clear pine (chines)
1 frame, preglued from 3/4x3x5ft, use rik's template
2 stems cut from 30 inch 2x3 or 2x4, using rik's angles
1 qt epoxy glue, with hardener and filler
300 #8x3/4 ss screws, phillips or square driver
50 #8x1-1/2 ss screws, phillips or square driver
1 qt primer
1 qt Bondo filler
PER CHILD---
1 materiel for paddle
- wood
- indelible magic markers, or various quick dry colored paints
EXPENDIBLES---
sandpaper suitable for our sanding machines, 120 grit: 10 disks per boat
cups, mixers and spreaders for glue: 12 per boat
rubber or vinyl gloves: 12 per boat
paint brushes, 2 inch: 6 per boat
mineral spirits for cleanup: gallon per 10 boats
paper towels (or rags): One roll per 2 boats
phillips or square driver bits: 2 or 3 per boat
saber saw blades: 1 per boat
spare 9/64 inch drill bits for the countersinks: 2 per boat
OPTIONAL---
3 or 4 inch fiberglass tape for chines and stems: 35 feet per boat
