The Bahrs' Museum Catalog
The cataloging of the Bahrs' museum collection was started in Mid 2011. The first effort was made by Scott Abel and Rik van Hemmen. After Scott departed for Illinois to complete his doctorate in maritime history, Rik van Hemmen engaged Red Bank Regional High School and High Tech High School students to continue the cataloging effort.
These students, Frankie Juliano, Melissa Fingado, Noemi Valdetano and Barr Turner, are hard at work researching the models, taking measurements and photographs of the models and organizing all the data and information for publication in our catalog.
The catalog will be an impressive document that will include essays about maritime, descriptions of Bahrs' Museum and the models, and an extensive glossary and will eventually be published in book form.
