Julian Rebelo shares how his team at Ramapo College utilized investigative genetic genealogy–an emerging field which has revolutionized the ability to identify unknown individuals–to give a name to human remains found along the New Jersey shoreline over 180 years ago.

Alongside the investigative genetic genealogy research, he consulted NJ maritime history databases which directly assisted him and his team with its research.
