2013 Spring Fitout for NJ Clearwater Garvey

Turnout: john Franchi, Wayne DeVilbis, and Tom. Shannon joined us later. No work on the boat itself. Instead we reorganized our equipment storage onto new 2'x4x5shelf that Jim acquired for us. A bit too cool for real work, we retired to Brothers for a brew and lunch.

March 16

2013 Spring fitout began. Good turnout: Jim & john Franchi, Wayne DeVilbis, Mathew and Tom.

Site issue: tons of wood chips may cause a problem. Either they have to go or we have to move the boat about 20 yards southwest.

Removed the cover, surveyed the boat. No problems found.

Work list:

•   enamel decks, topsides,
•   cetal the sticks and coamings,
•   linseed the inside
•   bottom paint

At some point the garvey must come off the trailer and onto blocks to do the bottom job.
Jim and John will inventory our supplies stored at their house. Jim took notes on work decisions.

We were done by 11. Next work party: March 23, 10am.

Where: Chris's Deli/Marina,  483 W Front St, Red Bank, NJ. Enter the lower parking lot and we are up the hill to the east beside a large storage container.

When: Saturdays starting March 16, 10 am to mid-afternoon.

Who is welcome: Anyone interested in historical boats. Come to visit, or come to work.
